Peacefully at Ripponburn Care Home, Cromwell, on Sunday January 25, 2026, aged 83 years.

Treasured and dearly loved wife of the late Spencer, much loved and cherished mother and mother-in-law of Richard and Karlene, Janice and Chris Birch, loved 'Garg' of Emma; Ryan and Sarah, and Craig.

Loved sister of Lee McLachlan, loved Aunty of Ruth and Fenner.

Loved member of the Gardner and McLachlan families and friend to many.

A memorial service to celebrate Edith's life will be held in Cromwell and Districts Presbyterian Church, 10 Elspeth Street, on Thursday, 29 January at 1.30pm.
